Introduction

Are traffic jams inevitable in large cities ?

From Madrid to Warsaw, via London, Paris, Rome and beyond, discover the findings and expectations of residents regarding mobility in nine European capitals, with an exclusive survey conducted for the Clean Cities Campaign.

Here are the key figures :

  • 65% of residents in the Paris metropolitan area are in favor of converting major roads into bus-only lanes, as are 71% in Rome and even 73% in Warsaw.
  • 41% of residents in the Paris metropolitan area are in favor of autonomous vehicles on their city streets, compared to 33% who oppose them, with 26% having no opinion on the subject.
  • 83% of residents in European capitals would like to see public transport provide better connections between the outskirts and the center of their city.
