Introduction

European citizens’ opinions on critical geopolitical, economic, and social topics. The survey gathered insights from 5,112 representative respondents across the EU27.

Key Insights:

  • Russian-Ukrainian War: 39% of respondents supported freezing the conflict to start long-term negotiations, while 24% prioritized defeating Russian forces.
  • Mercosur Treaty: 38% viewed the treaty positively for the EU economy, though opinions varied significantly by country, with higher support in Spain and Italy.
  • Immigration: 56% favored reintroducing strict border controls in Schengen countries, reflecting widespread concerns about migration issues.
  • Health Policies: 43% supported introducing a Sugar Tax to reduce sweetened beverage consumption, though opinions diverged by political and regional groups.
  • Ultra-Processed Food: 56% called for policies to reduce consumption, with 30% advocating very strict measures.
  • European Olympic Team: Only 26% favored a unified EU Olympic team, indicating strong national attachment in sports representation.

This study underscores diverse perspectives across Europe on pressing international, economic, and cultural issues, reflecting a balance of regional unity and divergence.
